The BLT – 250 Line Thrower is a pneumatic system which is throws projectiles by power of compressed air. BLT – 250 has interchangeable launchers and easy refilling projectiles. Meets the demands of Solas/IMO regulation 74/83, and recognized by RINA, Notified BodyNo: 0474 (Number: MED088716XT), Also approved by USCG (Number: 160.040/EC0474) and similar organizations in other countries as a linethrowing appliances onboard ships.

PERFORMANCE

Projectile reaches approximately 250 meters. Projectiles only effected from crosswind. Projectile reaches the maximum speed at end of the launcher. Due to aerodynamic structure, wind has the minimum effect on the projectiles

SAFETY

Because there is no explosives, it can be threw from and
into flammable areas. Two safety features protect the
system from false and accidental throwing. They are safety knob and over pressure valve

ECONOMY

All items are reusable.
Shelf life is unlimited, if regular maintenance is done
by Authorized Service’s personnel. Only cost for 4 throws is
refilling the cylinder with dry air.

A self-contained line-throwing appliance consisting of a weatherproof plastic casing with end cap, twist-grip trigger assembly, rocket and line. To comply with SOLAS requirements, four complete rocket and line assemblies should be carried on board. The device has a throwing range of between 230m and 250m. A solid propellant is used which guarantees a highly accurate flight path even in strong sidewinds.
The Linethrower 250 is designed for ease of operation in the most extreme weather conditions. It can be used in all situations where a line is required to be passed accurately and quickly.

Please note: The Linethrower 250 is supplied as standard including the rocket. The unit cannot be used without the rocket.

Daytime, short range distress signal, used to pinpoint position and indicate wind direction once potential rescuer is sighted. The Manoverboard MK9 compact Lifebuoy marker produces dense orange smoke for 15 minutes and features two self
contained, inversion switched, LED lights which far exceed SOLAS requirements. Ships are required to carry 2 markers, one mounted on each bridge wing with the brackets supplied and attached by line to a 4kg Lifebuoy.
The signal is used to mark the position of a man overboard by day or night. It can be automatically deployed by releasing the attached lifebuoy, or manually activated.

The Pains Wessex Parachute Red Rocket is a day or night long-range distress signal that conforms to SOLAS 74/88 as amended. Designed to withstand exceptional environmental exposure and to perform reliably even after immersion in water, the pull-wire ignitor and improved grip provide easy handling.

Twelve should be carried on the ship's bridge and four are required in a ship's lifeboats and liferafts. They are also suitable for use in other commercial and recreational boats.
